히브리서 3장 15 ~ 19절

성경에 일렀으되

오늘날 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든 노하심을 격동할 때와 같이 너희 마음을 강퍅케 하지 말라

하였으니

듣고 격노케 하던 자가 누구뇨 모세를 쫓아 애굽에서 나온 모든 이가 아니냐

또  하나님이 사십 년 동안에 누구에게 노하셨느뇨 범죄하여 그 시체가 광야에 엎드러진 자에게가 아니냐

또 하나님이 누구에게 맹세하사 그의 안식에 들어오지 못하리라 하셨느뇨 곧 순종치 아니하던 자에게가 아니냐

이로 보건대 저희가 믿지 아니하므로 능히 들어가지 못한 것이라

HEBREWS 3 : 15 ~ 19

NIV:
As has just been said:

"Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion."

Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?

And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert?

And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?

So we see that they were not ablt to enter, because of their unbelief.

CEV:
The Scriptures say, "If you hear his voice today, don't be stubborn like those who rebelled."

Who were those people that heard God's voice and rebelled? Weren't they the same ones that came out of Egypt with Moses?

Who were the people that made God angry for forty years? Weren't they the ones that sinned and died in the desert?

And who did God say would never enter his place of rest? Weren't they the ones that disobeyed him?

We see that those people did not enter the place of rest because they did not have faith.
