JAMES 3 : 8 ~ 12
JAMES 3 : 8 ~ 12
NIV:
but no man can tame the tongue. It it a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness.
Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.
Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?
My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
CEV:
But our tongues get out of control. They are restless and evil, and always spreading deadly poison.
My dear friends, with our togues we speak both praises and curses. We praise our Lord and Father, and we curse people who were created to be like God, and this isn't right.
Can clean water and dirty water both flow from the same spring?
Can a fig tree produce olives or a grapevine produce figs? Does fresh water come from a well full of salt water?
