출애굽기 3장 14,15절

하나님이 모세에게 이르시되 나는 스스로 있는자니라 또 이르시되 너는 이스라엘 자손에게 이같이 이르기를 스스로 있는 자가 나를 너희에게 보내셨다 하라

하나님이 또 모세에게 이르시되 너는 이스라엘 자손에게 이같이 이르기를 나를 너희에게 보내는 이는 너희 조상의 하나님 곧 아브라함의 하나님, 이삭의 하나님, 야곱의 하나님 여호와라 이는 나의 영원한 이름이요 대대로 기억할 나의 표호니라

NIV:
God said to Moses, " I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ' I AM has sent me to you.'"

God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites 'The LORD, the God your fathers- the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob- has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to remembered from generation to generation.

CEV:
God said to Moses: I am the eternal God. So tell them that the LORD, whose name is "I Am," has sent you. This is my name forever, and it is the name that people must use from now on.

 LORD: The Hebrew text has "Yahweh," which is usually translated "LORD" in the CEV. Since it seems related to the word translated "I am," it may mean "I am the one who is" or "I will be what I will be" or "I am the one who brings into being."
