잠언 30장 5 ~ 9절

하나님의 말씀은 다 순전하며 하나님은 그를 의지하는 자의 방패시니라

너는 그 말씀에 더하지 말라 그가 너를 책망하시겠고 너는 거짓말 하는 자가 될까 두려우니라

내가 두 가지 일을 주께 구하였사오니 나의 죽기 전에 주시옵소서

곧 허탄과 거짓말을 내게서 멀리 하옵시며 나로 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시고 오직 필요한 양식으로 내게 먹이시옵소서

혹 내가 배불러서 하나님을 모른다 여호와가 누구냐 할까 하오며 혹 내가 가난하여 도적질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 할까 두려워함이니이다

PROVERBS 30 : 5 ~ 9

NIV:
"Every word of God is flawless; he is shield to those who take refuge in him.

Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

"Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die:

Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.

Otherswise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

CEV:
Everything God says is true-- and it's a shield for all who come to him for safety.

Don't change what God has said! He will correct you and show that you are a liar.

There are two things, Lord, I want you to do for me before I die:

Make me absolutely honest and don't let me be too poor or too rich. Give me just what I need.

If I have too much to eat, I might forget about you; if I don't have enough, I might steal and disgrace your name.
