야고보서 1장 12 ~ 15절

시험을 참는 자는 복이 있도다 이것에 옳다 인정하심을 받은 후에 주께서 자기를 인정하심을 받은 후에 주께서 자기를 사랑하는 자들에게 약속하신 생명의 면류관을 얻을 것임이니라

사람이 시험을 받을 때에 내가 하나님께 시험을 받는다 하지 말지니 하나님은 악에게 시험을 받지도 아니하시고 친히 아무도 시험하지 아니하시느니라

오직 각 사람이 시험을 받는 것은 자기 욕심에 끌려 미혹됨이니

욕심이 잉태한즉 죄를 낳고 죄가 장성한 즉 사망을 낳으니라

JAMES 1 : 12 ~ 15

NIV:
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;

but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is fullgrown, gives birth to death.

CEV:
God will bless you, if you don't give up when your faith is being tested. He will reward you with a glorious life, just as he rewards everyone who loves him.

Don't blame God when you are tempted! God cannot be tempted by evil, and he doesn't use evil to tempt others.

We are tempted by our own desires that drag us off and trap us.

Our desires make us sin, and when sin is finished with us, it leaves us dead.
